Wednesday

At 2:00 AM, inflation data from Great Britain is expected to show inflation slowing slightly to 10.6%. At 5:00 AM, inflation data in the Euro Area is expected to show price growth slowing almost a full point to 9.2%. At 7:00 AM mortgage demand is released from the Mortgage Bankers Association. At 8:30 AM, producer prices in the US are projected to continue slowing falling to 6.8% in December and retail sales are expected to fall 0.8% month-over-month in December. And at 10:00 AM, homebuilder confidence is projected to hold at the two-year low of 31.

Thursday

At 8:30 AM, building permits are projected to rise 1.0% to 1.37M and housing starts are expected to fall 5.0% to 1.358M in December. Also at 8:30 AM, initial jobless claims are projected to rise to 212k. At noon, mortgage rate data from Freddie Mac.

Friday

At 10:00 AM, existing-home sales are projected to fall 3.0% to 3.95M to close out 2022.
