Inflation in the U.K. Hits 6.2%

Inflation in the U.K. hit a 30 year high, according to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics…(MarketWatch)

  • Inflation in the U.K. reached a new three-decade high in February, accelerating to a 6.2% annual rate.
  • This is the highest rate since March 1992 when prices rose at an annual pace of 7.1%.

This latest rate beat the 6.0% rate expected by economists polled by The Wall Street Journal and highlights the global inflation problem that is hitting almost everyone on the planet as countries deal with the consequences of loose monetary and fiscal policies enacted during COVID and the continued supply-chain disruptions.
