- Claims totaled 684,000 for the week ended March 20th. This was a decrease of 97,000 from the previous week’s revised level of 770,000.
- The 4-week moving average fell to 736,000, a decrease of 13,000 from the previous week’s revised average.
Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had projected jobless claims would fall slightly to 735,000 (WSJ)
